Dr. Joseph J. Louro, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Louro is a successful businessman who possesses the skills and capabilities to guide Global Investor Services through its development stage and prepare the company for growth. He has successfully operated companies in multiple business sectors and has been involved in educating through lecturing in the education space domestically and internationally.
Dr. Louro, from 2006 to 2011, served as the CEO and President of LDG-Louro Development Group, a business development company focused on real estate transactions, new construction and downtown development projects as well as foreclosure-bankruptcy turnaround solutions.
From 1981 to 2006, Dr. Louro acted as an international speaker for live seminar educational companies. Dr. Louro's topics for physicians and businessmen included success principles, practice management skills and leadership skills. Dr. Louro also taught staff and employees how to enhance the customers overall experience through first class service.
Dr. Louro was licensed by the State of New Jersey in 1981 by the Board of Medical Examiners to practice as a Chiropractor and, has since demonstrated the ability to run multiple offices with an integrated staff of chiropractic, medical and osteopathic physicians while also teaching and consulting.
William C. Kosoff, Chief Financial Officer
Bill Kosoff joined Global Investor Services Inc. as a Director in December of 2005 and has served as the Chief Financial Officer since February of 2007. Bill is a 45-year veteran of the high technology industry, serving in engineering, marketing, sales, and senior management positions with leading American manufacturer Rockwell International. In 1984, he co-founded Telenetics Corp. and served as its President, CEO, and CFO. In 1987, Telenetics became public on NASDAQ and was acquired in 2006 by a private firm.
Mr. Kosoff received his BA in Physics from California State University in 1978. He earned his Professional Certificate in Accounting from New York University.
Gregory R. Thoennes, Vice President of Business Operations
From October 2004 to May 2008, Mr. Thoennes was a Workshop Director and Instructor for our competitor, Investools (now part of TD Ameritrade), a company that offers investor education as well as brokerage and related financial products and services for self-directed investors.
Prior to that, Mr. Thoennes had eight years of extensive experience in the mutual fund industry, working as a marketing and business development executive for two of the most successful mutual fund complexes, Strong Capital Management and Artisan Partners.
Mr. Thoennes earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and marketing from the University of Wisconsin in 1992 and received his MBA from the University of California at Berkeley in 2002.
